Great-looking new exhibition in Rotterdam (at the Netherlands Architecture Institute - recognise the logo from the Mau book?). From 26 January to 14 April 2002. Clip City presents "space, architecture and the city in music clips". Rather than focusing on numerous avant-garde pieces on sound and the city, this exhibition tends to compile mainstream music promos by the likes of Glazer, Fincher and Shadforth, highlighting their development of increasingly fluid imaginary spaces. Includes Antoine Bardou-Jacquet's influential video for Alex Gopher's The Child, which imagines the entire city constructed from text.
